About Brandon
Hi, my name is Brandon, and I have a passion for tutoring. I've been doing it since high school (5+ years) after a close friend taught me how to study well and saved me from failing chemistry. I strive to help people the way I was helped.
I have tutored individuals privately, and I have been hired to tutor classes of college seniors in chemical engineering courses. My background is in math, science, and chemical engineering, so I prefer tutoring those subjects.
I graduated with a B.S. in chemical engineering from UC Davis in 3 years and with high honors.

My teaching methods are problem-oriented. I will normally work through a problem with my student, and have them provide the steps for the solution. This allows me to figure out what steps the student understands and what they find difficult. Then, I'd help them build the understanding needed to overcome the difficult steps. I would continue to work like this until the student can carry out the whole solution independently.
