About Elizabeth

My name is Elizabeth, and I am a Middle School English 8 teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education. I am passionate about helping students grow into confident, capable readers and writers through clear instruction, consistent support, and meaningful learning experiences.

I believe that every student can succeed in English when they are given the right tools, encouragement, and structure. My teaching style is student-centered, which means I focus on meeting learners where they are and guiding them step-by-step toward mastery. I work to make lessons engaging, approachable, and purposeful so that students feel both challenged and supported.

In my tutoring sessions, I use a structured but flexible approach. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and areas for growth, then design lessons that target specific skills such as reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, and test preparation. A typical session includes a short warm-up, direct instruction of the skill, guided practice with feedback, and independent application to ensure understanding. I also incorporate discussion and real-world connections to help students build deeper understanding and confidence.

What sets me apart is my experience as a classroom teacher combined with my commitment to individualized instruction. I understand academic expectations at the middle school level and know how to break down complex skills into manageable steps. I am patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students not only improve their grades, but also develop confidence in their abilities.

My lessons are designed for middle school students, especially grades 6–8, who need support in English Language Arts or want to strengthen their reading and writing skills. I work with students at all levels, whether they need remediation, consistent practice, or enrichment.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, capable, and motivated to succeed.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and I am a passionate Middle School English 8 teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education. I believe every student can become a confident reader and writer when they feel supported, challenged, and encouraged in a positive learning environment.

My teaching approach is student-centered, engaging, and personalized to fit each learner’s needs. I use interactive discussions, guided reading strategies, writing practice, grammar support, and critical thinking activities to help students strengthen both their academic skills and confidence. I focus on making lessons meaningful and relatable so students stay motivated and involved throughout the learning process.

A typical lesson may include a warm-up activity, skill review, guided instruction, collaborative practice, and independent application. I also provide constructive feedback and strategies students can continue using in the classroom and beyond. Whether students need help with essay writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, or overall English support, I aim to make learning approachable and encouraging.

What sets me apart is my experience as a current middle school teacher combined with my compassionate and patient teaching style. As a first-year teacher with advanced educational training, I bring fresh, creative ideas into my lessons while also understanding the academic expectations students face in school today.

My lessons are designed for middle school students, especially those in grades 6–8, who want additional support in English Language Arts, reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, or test preparation. I welcome students of all learning levels and work hard to create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and growing academically.
