About Racquel

Folks from church bands often struggle most when moving into secular genres because they overthink the soul of the music. My teaching style is actually born from the tension between the formal theory I gained at the Musicians Institute Hollywood and the raw trial and error of my early cassette tape days. I handle everything from reading tabs to lead guitar and songwriting.

Blues progressions are my bread and butter. I also handle grade exam prep for those who want that extra layer of rigor. Do you want to see if your current setup holds you back from the sound you hear in your head.

Starting with a 0 cost trial session might feel like a weird sales trick, but I promise it is just the best way for me to assess your current level. We will look at your technical grip and see how your ear handles different phrasing.

This initial check allows us to create a path that fits your specific goals without wasting time on stuff you already know. 8.0 is the magic number for the focus level I expect from myself during our firsrt meeting.

I prefer to keep things lighthearted while we dismantle your playing habits to rebuild them correctly. It is never just about hitting notes, so let us figure out where you are and where you want to go. Catch you on the other side of the fretboard.
