About Era

Scales and arpeggios, pedaling technique, and grade exam prep form the foundation of our work together. Perhaps you feel stuck, but getting unstuck is a skill we practice directly here. I work best with students willing to be wrong out loud, much like the patient teacher who once guided my own impatient hands.

From music theory to rhythm and timing, I cover chord voicing, posture, hand position, and sight reading with meticulous care. My goal is to guide you toward the refined rubato and bel-canto phrasing that define a true Chopin performance. I look forward to hearing you play soon.

The subtle weight of a single finger on a key reveals everything about your current technique. Since completing my Doctor of Musical Arts at the Eastman School of Music, I have focused on the unhurried process of building better mechanics through diagnostic assessments.

We spend our time exploring the specific pedalling requirements of the Romantic repertoire to ensure your sound remains clear and resonant. Because I value precision, the instruction remains calm as we dismantle complex passages into manageable movements.

You leave each meeting with 1 specific thing to try before we sit down again. This structured pacing ensures that your growth is consistent and deeply rooted in musicality. It is a pleasure to help you find the voice within your instrument.
