About Kent

I tutored over 100 people since high school. Some of them are primary-school level, some of them are just my friends from the same grade. The reason why people go to me is not that I am good at Math, but my patience, personality, and communication skills.

I do not really believe in "not being good at Math" (I do believe in genius tho)
I believe in wrong method, traumatic experiences, tedious coursework, etc. that led to repellency.

You don't like Math; You have better things to do; You just want to get it over with--I get it. Give me time, and we can solve all Math problems without boring coursework and exams.

About the lesson

My lessons are highly interactive.
1. No repetitive practice. We will save time in exploring the logic of problems together.
2. Tailored to your habits. I personalize study routes.
3. Absolute patience. People learn different things at different pace.
4. I rely on feedback, so the more you tell me how well am I doing, the better effect can be achieved.

I typically prepare a lot for a short class. It normally starts with a prototypical form of a problem, and then we dive into the variations, calculate a bit on our own. I will demonstrate various methods used to solve the problem, and I will choose the one you are best at and continue on that route. Basically the more information you provide me the better, because I can analyze and organize the class specifically to serve your needs.
