About Leila
I am a professional actor who graduated from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. I also have a foundation from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. So, my understanding of what is needed for drama school auditions is huge!
I have been teaching LAMDA online and in school settings for the last 5 years. I also have taught drama clubs and private drama sessions. I am extremely knowledgeable on the exam process for Public Speaking, Verse & Prose, and Acting grades with 99% of my students achieving a distinction and 100% of them passing.
Before teaching Acting, I was a swimming instructor, where I taught students of many different ages, ranging from toddlers to people in their late 70s. With my classes it does not matter your age, it matters why you are here and what you hope to achieve working with me.
Alongside my acting career, I am a writer. I have recently worked as a Dramaturge with a theatre company to create a new play. I also write and sell Murder Mysteries.
I have a real passion for performing and find that teaching gives me real joy, as I get to share that with you.

My lessons are always focused on helping students find their confidence, whether it be with the pieces they pick for drama school auditions, feeling nervous about a LAMDA exam or feeling blocked when performing. The goal is always to understand how can we make this work for you and, in that, find that inner confidence, so that you can do your best on that day with what you've got, with where you are.
My classes for LAMDA for Acting, Verse & Prose, and Public Speaking all start with a vocal warm up. Then, we move onto looking and exploring the text we're working with. This does differ with Public Speaking, where we would begin exploring topics we feel passionately about to find the speech we want to tell, so we can then begin writing.
For Drama school entry support, we start with looking at pieces; what's going to show your strengths etc. We then deep dive into the text.
My lessons are always led by the individual I am teaching. I am extremely adaptable and like to gently push people to achieve their best.
