About Lucy
With over 20 years of experience as a theatre practitioner and acting teacher, I bring a deep commitment to helping performers uncover their truth, develop their craft, and build lasting confidence on stage and beyond. I have spent 10 years teaching at the renowned BRIT School, working with hundreds of young people and the start of their journeys. My approach to teaching acting is rooted in authenticity; finding the truth and believability in every moment, every choice, and every character. I believe the most compelling performances come from a place of honesty, and I work closely with each student to unlock that potential within themselves. My background in applied and inclusive theatre has shaped a teaching style that is adaptive, collaborative, and deeply respectful of every individual's unique voice and journey. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I provide a supportive yet challenging environment that meets you where you are and pushes you to where you want to be. As an acting coach, I’m known for my strong work ethic, tailored guidance, and the ability to draw out powerful, connected performances. Together, we’ll explore character, intention, physicality, and voice. But most importantly, we’ll focus on truthful storytelling that resonates with audiences. I offer tailored online coaching to help you grow as a performer. Whether you’re preparing for auditions, working towards LAMDA exams, wanting to develop technique, or simply just to build confidence, my sessions are designed to support your unique goals. I pride myself on creating a supportive space where you can explore your craft, sharpen your skills, and step into every performance with confidence and integrity. I provide carefully chosen material to work on together and I’ll also show you how to source and select pieces for yourself, which is an essential skill for auditions and exams. We’ll break things down step by step, exploring character, voice, movement, and emotional truth in a way that feels clear and manageable for you, in a safe and supportive environment. - Lessons take place predominantly online - Lessons range from 1-2 hours- (depending on your preference.) - Ages from 12+
