About Alisha
During the early years of high school, English was my worst subject and I never understood how to achieve good grades. However, after lots of trial and error and hard work, I achieved one of the highest grades in my year. Through this experience, I can identify my students' struggles in the subject since they were probably similar to the issues I faced as a student in high school. Furthermore, I work together with them to improve their knowledge and love of the subject.
I am currently an international university student however I have been providing tutoring classes for over 3 years to students ranging from ages 7-16 in various subjects, so I have experience working with different ages and will be able to cater to different learning styles and stages.

My teaching methodology includes active learning and engaging students through interactive discussions and tailored lessons to each student's learning pace and needs.
Typically I would spend a portion of the lesson reviewing previous material, using active recall to increase lesson effectiveness while the rest will be based on what the student would like to improve and learn.
My lessons are very personalised where I will determine and assist the student with their weaknesses to improve their all-around approach to the subject.
I can provide lessons working on more advanced areas like literary analysis of any text (including poetry), and essay writing to less advanced areas like reading and basic grammar to students ranging from middle school to high school.
