About Trevor
For 12+ years, I have dedicated myself to teaching saxophone to learners from school to college. Music is my lifelong passion, and teaching allows me to share that love with others. I focus on building both technical skill and musical expression, guiding students step by step from beginner exercises to complex pieces.
I believe that every student has potential, and with patience, creativity, and encouragement, they can achieve remarkable growth. Throughout my career, I have organized recitals, guided students for exams, and celebrated their successes in competitions and public performances. My approach combines structured practice with freedom to explore creativity, helping students develop confidence and independence in their music.
Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether it’s playing for fun, performing on stage, or preparing for advanced studies. My work is driven by the joy of seeing students discover the power of music and express themselves fully through the saxophone.

My methodology begins with building a strong foundation. For beginners, I focus on posture, breathing techniques, correct embouchure, and basic finger positioning. Once the basics are strong, we move to scales, articulation, tone control, and advanced techniques.
Motivation is maintained by celebrating small improvements and progress milestones. I communicate in simple language and give clear demonstrations to avoid confusion. I also provide practice plans for home practice.
Integrity is reflected in my structured lesson planning and regular evaluation. I ensure students move to the next level only when they are ready, maintaining quality learning.
Creativity is introduced through jazz improvisation, stylistic variations, and exploring different genres. Students are encouraged to develop their own musical style.
I also teach music theory, sight reading, and rhythm counting, which are essential for saxophone players. My aim is to create disciplined, skilled, and confident performers.
