About Lindsey

I am deeply passionate about education and believe it is one of the most important influences in a student’s life. My own academic journey was not always easy. I experienced several processing challenges and ADHD, which made learning more difficult at times. Despite these obstacles, I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a teacher. I understood that if I wanted to achieve that goal, I needed to persevere and continue working hard.

Throughout school, my teachers supported me as much as they could, but I also worked with a tutor to strengthen areas where I continued to struggle. That additional support made a meaningful difference in my confidence and academic growth. When I reached college, I discovered how much I enjoyed my education and psychology courses, which further confirmed my passion for helping students learn and succeed.

I understand what it feels like to believe you are behind or that you may never fully grasp a subject. However, I also know that with the right support and thoughtfully curated lessons, growth is absolutely possible. My goal is to help my students recognize their potential and understand that their struggles do not define their abilities. With patience, encouragement, and personalized instruction, they can and will make progress in the areas they find challenging.

I sincerely hope that sharing my own experiences with learning difficulties and self-doubt allows my students to feel understood and supported. I am committed to doing everything I can to help them reach their goals and build confidence in the subjects they once found difficult.

About the lesson

My goal as a tutor is to ensure that each student leaves a session with a deeper understanding of the material than they had before we began. I am committed to creating individualized lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning style, strengths, and academic needs. I believe tutoring should be engaging and enjoyable rather than feeling like additional schoolwork, as students are more likely to stay motivated and focused when learning is interactive and meaningful.

I bring extensive experience in educational settings, having been immersed in education since high school and professionally serving as a Preschool Assistant Teacher from 2020 to 2025. Throughout my career, I have gained significant hands-on classroom experience across early childhood and elementary grade levels. Additionally, I have substantial experience developing and implementing lesson plans, allowing me to thoughtfully design structured, goal-oriented sessions that promote measurable progress.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a TEFL certification, which enables me to effectively support both native English speakers and English language learners. While English is a primary area of focus, I also design and deliver customized lessons in history, science, reading comprehension, and conversational practice.

My strong educational foundation, classroom experience, and dedication to personalized instruction are what set me apart as a tutor. I strive to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel confident, capable, and motivated to succeed.
