About Courtney
Hi, I’m Courtney! Teaching is something I’ve wanted to do since I was little — I used to set up a classroom at home and make my little brother and sister sit through my lessons whether they liked it or not!
Since getting the opportunity to actually work in a school, I haven’t looked back. I’ve built up a lot of experience over the past three years and honestly learned so much along the way — especially through working with neurodivergent children, which has really shaped the way I think about learning and what it looks like for every individual child. I’m also currently learning Auslan, because inclusion matters to me and I’m always looking for ways to grow. On top of all that I’m working towards my Bachelor of Primary Education, so it’s safe to say teaching is pretty much my whole world right now!
Outside of work and uni I’m a netballer, I love cooking and reading, and I spend as much time as I can with my family and friends. I also have two dogs, Bella and Lottie, who keep life interesting!
Tutoring is something I do because I genuinely want to — it’s a chance for me to keep learning and to support your child in a way that feels personal and purposeful.

Every child learns differently, and I think that’s something worth celebrating! Whether your child needs a little extra support, is ready to be extended, or you’re simply not sure what the next step looks like yet, I am here to help in a way that feels right for them.
I currently work within a school alongside classroom teachers and a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), planning and delivering targeted literacy and speech support for children aged 4–7. With three years of experience working one-on-one and in small group settings, I know how to meet children where they’re at and make learning feel achievable and fun. I’m also currently completing my Bachelor of Primary Education, so everything I do is backed by both real hands-on experience and up-to-date knowledge from my studies.
I use the UFLI framework daily — the same evidence-based literacy approach being rolled out across Australian schools — so tutoring with me will feel like a natural extension of what your child is already doing in the classroom.
Sessions incorporate a range of purposeful resources including decodable texts, phonics-based materials, structured literacy activities, and digital learning tools, all selected and tailored to your child’s individual needs. I keep detailed notes and learning evidence along the way so we can track progress together, and I’ll send you regular updates so you’re never left wondering how things are going!
