About Michaela
⸻
I teach because I love the moment when learning finally clicks — like when Bluey figures things out through play, or Sesame Street turns a big idea into something that suddenly makes sense. It’s that shift from confusion to clarity that never gets old for me.
I work with students from early education through secondary, and I don’t believe learning should feel overwhelming or rushed. Sometimes progress looks like slowing down, sometimes it means trying a new strategy — a bit like Avatar: The Last Airbender, where growth comes from balance, patience, and practice.
Lessons with me are focused but relaxed. We break things down, build skills steadily, and keep moving forward until confidence replaces doubt — Miles Morales–style: “It’s a leap of faith,” learning to step into your own strengths rather than copying someone else.

My tutoring approach is intentional, structured, and deeply student-centred. I work across early education to secondary levels, building strong foundations first, then guiding students toward independence, confidence, and academic clarity.
Drawing on a background in psychology and years of classroom and curriculum experience, I tailor each session to the student’s developmental stage, learning style, and goals. Lessons are calm, focused, and thoughtfully paced—supportive without being indulgent, and challenging without pressure.
I prioritize critical thinking, clear communication, and self-belief, ensuring students don’t just keep up, but steadily grow into capable, self-directed learners.
