Hello guys, my name is Viola and I come from an ancient city in China: Xi'an, and I also have lived in different cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Ningbo and Dali. I'm an outgoing girl who really likes to explore new things, and in my spare time I like to play guitar and paint, I also have a scuba diving license.

I graduated from Nottingham Business School as an undergraduate and University College London (IOE) as a postgraduate. I obtained Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (CTCSOL) in 2020 and had over 1000h of professional Chinese teaching experience.

I want to help every student build confidence in their language learning journey. I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, so I focus on tailoring my learning program to each student, with the flexibility to adapt the course content to their goals, level and interests. I firmly believe that with the right approach and support, everyone can master Chinese and communicate fluently.

My teaching style combines practical language use with an introduction to cultural background, so that students not only learn the language, but also gain a better understanding of Chinese culture. I will design tailor-made programs for different learning needs, such as daily communication, business Chinese or academic writing. I will patiently guide you step by step to master the Chinese language and have fun while learning.

Whether you are a beginner or already have some basic knowledge, I can help you improve your language skills and truly appreciate the charm of Chinese. I look forward to sharing with you on this fun and fulfilling journey of learning Chinese!

My lessons balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I encourage students to interact in Chinese as much as possible, even at beginner levels, and focus on contextual vocabulary that is immediately useful.

b. I often integrate multimedia resources, such as videos, audio clips, and visual aids, to enhance comprehension. For grammar, I prefer to teach in context rather than isolated rules, which helps students naturally understand the structure as they practice speaking or writing. Personalized learning is key, so I adapt materials and pace according to each student’s goals and learning style.
