About Yanyfer

I’m a high school junior, active club member, and varsity cheerleader with big dreams of becoming a pediatric or NICU nurse. I love helping students grow academically because as a high school student I’ve come to the realization that strong learning skills open the door to success in everything else they do. I care deeply about students who may not be working at grade level or who feel like school just isn’t clicking for them. I know how frustrating that can be, and I always meet students where they are — without judgment — to help them grow at their own pace. For me, tutoring is more than just helping with schoolwork; it’s about building trust, confidence, and small wins that can lead to big changes. As a tutor, I’m dedicated, patient, and highly motivated to help each student unlock their full potential. I focus on building skills step-by-step to ensure steady improvement, helping students overcome challenges and gain confidence in their abilities. I’m professional, organized, and always focused on helping students build real skills and confidence they can take with them back into the classroom. This work means a lot to me — it gives me purpose and experience toward the career I’m working hard to reach. I look forward to making a positive impact in every session!

My lessons are designed for students in grades K–9 who need support in reading, grammar, writing, and literature — whether they’re struggling to keep up, want to get ahead, or just need things explained a little differently.

I do my best to follow the general curriculum and teaching methods used in U.S. schools so students aren’t confused between tutoring and class. I use textbooks, teacher-style resources, and common academic standards to help students build skills in a way that feels familiar and practical.

I understand that every teacher has their own expectations, so I adjust my approach to support what the student is learning — whether that’s the structure of an essay, the grammar terms they’re expected to know, or how they analyze a story. I aim to make tutoring feel like a helpful extension of their schoolwork, not something totally separate or conflicting.

What sets me apart from other tutors is how much care I take to make learning feel connected — not just to the subject, but to the student’s actual classroom experience. I focus on clear explanations, patience, and building confidence at the student’s pace. I don’t just teach the “right answers” — I help students understand the why behind what they’re learning.

Every session is personalized, encouraging, and focused on real progress — whether we’re working on phonics, fluency, essay writing, grammar, or understanding literature. The goal is to make school feel a little more manageable and a lot more doable.

Yanifer is a fantastic tutor, I recommend her to who ever. She taught my three year old how to count and how to sound his letters. My three year old can sound and separate his three letters for example : cat,bat,mom,dad etc and it was thanks to her. She really does know what she’s doing.She goes above and beyond for her students .
