About Fred
I have been playing the guitar since the age of 14 ever since I heard rock bands like Pixies and the Strokes. I instantly became obsessed with learning the guitar as fast as possible and since then, I have played in various bands and continue to do so today. Currently, I play in two bands, one is an alternative/country band based in London signed to a Swedish label, the other is supporting an Indie/singer-songwriter signed to a London label. My Monday-Friday job allows me to teach guitar in the evenings and weekends. I am dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels grow as musicians. With a strong foundation in rock, country, punk, blues, acoustic, and classical styles, I bring a well-rounded and adaptable approach to every lesson. I believe that learning the guitar should be both rewarding and enjoyable. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to express themselves, ask questions, and make progress at their own pace.

As a versatile guitar teacher based in London, I offer lessons across a range of styles including rock, country, punk, blues, acoustic, and classical guitar. My teaching approach is student-focused and adaptable, combining structured learning with creativity to suit each individual's goals and musical tastes. I use a mix of technique drills, improvising, ear training, and song-based learning to build strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging. Whether you're learning your first chords or mastering advanced soloing, I tailor my methods to suit your level and pace. Typical lessons are 30 to 60 minutes long, depending on age and experience. I have several years of experience teaching students of all ages, from absolute beginners to intermediate/advanced players. My goal is to inspire confidence and enjoyment in playing while fostering long-term musical development. Lessons are open to all ages and levels — whether you're a child picking up the guitar for the first time, a teen exploring new genres, or an adult returning to music.
