About Mohab
I hold a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of British Columbia and have a strong academic and technical background in mathematics, physics, programming, and core engineering subjects.
During my studies and research, I developed a deep understanding of how to break down complex technical concepts into clear, structured, and intuitive steps. I’ve also worked extensively with challenging engineering topics where students often struggle with both theory and problem-solving application.
My goal as a tutor is to help students build genuine understanding and confidence — not just memorize formulas for exams. I focus on teaching students how to think through problems logically and systematically, which is essential for success in both high school and university-level STEM courses.
I am patient, structured, and adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs and pace. Whether you are trying to strengthen fundamentals, improve grades, or prepare for difficult exams, I work with you to build a clear and effective learning approach.
I also bring an applied engineering perspective to my teaching, connecting academic concepts to real-world electrical and computer engineering applications, especially in circuits, programming, and systems.

My lessons are structured, clear, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than memorizing steps.
Each session typically includes:
* A quick review of key concepts
* Step-by-step explanation of difficult topics
* Guided problem-solving with real exam-style questions
* Independent practice with feedback
I adjust my teaching style based on the student’s level and goals — whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, or improving problem-solving speed.
For engineering and university students, I focus on building intuition for how and why methods work, especially in subjects like circuits, digital systems, and programming.
For high school students, I emphasize clarity, and confidence.
I can also help with:
* Assignments and homework support
* Debugging programming assignments (C, C++, Python)
* Building strong foundations for engineering studies
Sessions are available online or in person (Langley area depending on availability).
