About Jordan
I am a 2nd Grade teacher in St. Charles, MO. I have been involved in the education field for over five years. I have taught in several environments with several class sizes. Including remote online, hybrid, one-on-one, small group, and in-person.
I love teaching and being creative. One of my favorite subjects to teach is fictional writing because I love to see how unique students' storytelling skills can be.

I utilize strategy textbooks to assist my lessons and students with handwriting, writing conventions, the science of reading, comprehension, and powerful structure in writing. Students will receive goals through their own checklist to allow students to keep track of their progress. Students will be able to identify their successes and areas that need work.
As a previous online educator and computer teacher, I am eager to provide students with opportunities to incorporate technology with reading and writing. This process keeps students engaged and learning.
These lessons are designed for elementary level students (KDG - 4th Grade).
Example Lesson:
Grade Level: 2nd Grade
Goal: I can use persuasive language to write a review about my favorite toy to convince others to buy it.
Students will begin with creating a Google Jamboard of their favorite toys. Students will choose one toy to write about first. They will utilize a writing booklet to write their review. Students will be provided an adjective list. Students will highlight five adjectives they can use to describe their toy. Students will independently write a review using the adjectives and sharing why that toy is their favorite. The teacher will use a checklist for students to identify the skills they have met. The teacher will provide guidance on skills that still need to be worked on to create their published review.
