About Kimberly
Hi Friends! My name is Kimberly Walker, and I am a senior at Western Governors University getting my B.A. in Elementary Education. In the middle of being in school, I am a podcaster of Encouraged with Kimberly. It has been fun hearing the testimonies of others. I am also a dog lover as well. Life has been a roller coaster for me, but it has been a fun ride! The start of my education journey was not easy; I had so many hurdles and difficulties, but I knew God was going to help me! He did. I will be graduating this year with my bachelor’s when people told me it wasn’t possible. I like to say Education is my first passion, and law is my second. I have all hopes of becoming an attorney. Throughout my internship and volunteer experience at public and private schools, I have learned that students learn best when teachers and tutors understand their needs. In my lessons, I look forward to understanding my students and then customizing a lesson plan that works for them. I far too well understand the struggles students face when they are put in a bubble and compared to their peers. In elementary and middle school, I struggled with academic reading and writing, but tutors and my parents went out of their way to customize a plan for me. Today, I am reaping the fruit of their help. My lessons are for 1st – 5th graders!!
