About Evie
Evie has lived on the Island of St. Croix, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and all over the United States. Her multicultural background makes her uniquely qualified to meet students where they are. During the school year, she is employed as a full-time teaching assistant for special needs children in the State of North Carolina. For fun, Evie loves fishing, hiking, and spending time at home in her garden and painting. Evie is an aviation enthusiast and has spent time working as an Aircraft Mechanic, a Pilot Advocate, and also a scheduler in Private Aviation. Her broad range of interests ensures that you will always have something to talk about.

We will work on critical reading skills, discuss passages , inferred meanings, colloquialisms and context clues. We will also complete beginning creative writing assignments.
