About Taren
I have been teaching preschool to 5th grade students for over 5 years. I have been teaching 1st grade for 2 years which heavily focuses on reading. I have tutored students, been a home pod teacher, and nanny (assisting with schoolwork) on top of teaching. I have my BS in child and family development and my MA in education. I have a multiple subject teaching credential.

I tailor the learning to target specific needs for the individual student. I make learning fun and use games along with high rigorous learning to help students achieve their goals. I set high expectations for students and use their unique interests to engage them in learning. My lessons are for students in elementary school k-5 or for teachers and parents needing ideas and supports in helping their little readers.
