• 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I developed an interest in English as a kid when I struggled with communication, I then went on to excel at GCSE & A-Level then achieved an English degree from King's College London.

• 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  I love tutoring English to students as I'm a specialist in this field and have successfully taught 200 students to achieve top grades! I also tutor History, Maths and Biology!

• 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Certainly, my biggest role model is my English professor at university who encouraged me to speak confidently!

• 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  As a tutor we must be patient, understanding and progress focused to create an environment of empowerment for our students to excel!

• 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  When I was in school, my teacher often asked me
  'What's your why?'. This kind of language spurred me on to keep my motivations clear in my head while I tutor.

• 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  The biggest challenge has been finding ways to constantly improve despite reaching a high level.

• 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  I have a passion for nurturing students through the exam stage and communicate more confidently to achieve the best grades possible!
