About Ilse
I am not a teacher from professions so I can't tell what my students have achieved or how many students I have helped. I just find it interesting helping others in my free time.
On the cruise ships I helped my collegues out with some basic language skills such as basic Dutch, German and English so that they are more confident in interacting with our guests on board.
Since I moved to Kenya I help out some Kenyans who have plans to move to Netherlands or have relationships with Dutch inhabitants. Some of them are trying to pass the Dutch exam that is needed whenever you like to stay in the Netherlands for a longer period of time.

I am a Dutch girl who emigrated to Kenya, Africa where I nowadays live with my husband and dog.
I studied International Tourism Management and have a big passion for traveling and cultures. I have been in many countries and worked on several cruise ships with people from all over the world.
I have helped several people with some basic language skills mostly by just talking about daily situations and subjects that have their interest. I will do my best to make my students feel confortable by helping them with very personal lessons. I do not use standard classes or courses but listen to what the student would like to learn and prepare personal lessons for each and every student.
