About Sarah
I am currently a learning mentor in a secondary grammar school for boys and have experience of working with students, mentoring, scaffolding work and tutoring in all subjects, but my specialities are History, English and Biology. I use a variety of teaching methods to make learning fun and interactive such as Kahoots, mind maps and flash cards for younger students and past exam papers and CGP revision booklets for GCSE I like to make my sessions enjoyable but beneficial, and encourage full engagement with my students. My current role involves mentoring students with SEN and having recently obtained a degree from the Open University in psychology i am able to tutor this subject to older students to A level standard. I use many resources such as Ted Talks, research papers, and podcasts to reinforce learning. My aim of tutoring is to build self confidence and esteem and aim for each student to reach their maximum potential in a way that is catered to their own individual style of learning.
