Hey there! My name is Cayla, and I'm a woman in my mid 20's living in the Irvington neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. I recently graduated with my Masters from Portland State University, and work as a media buyer.
In both my undergrad (University of Colorado Boulder; go Buffs!) and graduate experience, I competed at the Division I level in cross country and track. Since high school, I have nannied and babysat all ages; however, in college, I nannied exclusively for a middle school and assisted with learning help, which I adored! During the height of COVID19, I worked with a family and facilitated online learning for both a kindergarten and 2nd grade level learner.
I would love to step in to help your child with some focused learning and study time, and lend my education and mentorship skills to your learner. I am comfortable with tutoring K-12 learners in the realms of reading and writing comprehension, proofreading and editing assistance, and in general mentorship structure. I believe in creating an environment where the learner feels empowered and confident after each session!
