About Mary Gretchen
I am a current academic support teacher for Lexington Public Schools, with an MA in Special Education, and an MA in Intercultural Relations. I am an Adjunct professor at Lesley University and UMass Lowell. I have Mass. teacher certifications in English and Special Education. I work with all learners and believe in my heart that all students can achieve to their potential. I can work with all ages, from elementary- graduate school.

I engage with students to learn about their strengths and challenges. I use those strengths and challenges to create strategies for students to employ in their writing, reading or planning. I demystify the writing and reading process by using modeling strategies, the theory of multiple intelligences, and tools like graphic organizers and brainstorming techniques.
