Engineering Graduate with teaching experience - Sign language tutor with Bradley

Bradley has been the teacher at Cambridge University Sign Language for 2 years. As the secretary of the society, it's my job to help organise the teacher and make sure he knows when and where things are happening - a job he makes very easy for me! He's consistently punctual and plans his lessons well in advance, making the materials easy for studying from and for me to distribute in a timely manner. He's consistently well-prepared for lessons and has fostered a very welcoming space for interaction and learning among people of various signing abilities. He's very easy to learn from and makes classes very fun, resulting in us retaining more students to the society than ever before, and being able to expand the society and introduce a wider array of classes. He's always willing to go out of his way to learn things he's not aware of to improve our signing. Bradley has been invaluable to our society over the past two years and I have no hesitations in saying we would really have struggled to get our society to where it is without his help and efforts!

I initially taught Bradley British Sign Language at a University and he the became a tutor shortly afterwards working both alongside me and then leading the team some time after. Bradley is a very patient tutor. He is able to understand the learning the needs of his students and adapt his teaching strategy accordingly to suit them. Bradley worked well as part of the team, carrying out his role as an educator without any problems. Later on, he was able to lead the team, often by example, and not only taught the students but also demonstrated the techniques he used to others wanting to teach. Bradley is very approachable and answers any questions asked of him and goes above and beyond in encouraging his students learning. Not only were his sessions educational, they were always enjoyable, with inventive use of games and role plays.
