About Jack

I trained as an actor and have worked on stage and screen. I have been teaching for 15 years alongside this and have worked with many different students. I love seeing a student join a session on day one and then, once they have completed their learning journey, leave feeling confident, empowered, and proud of what they have achieved. I am passionate about ensuring my lessons are tailored to the needs and wants of my students.

About the lesson

I believe that the best learning happens when students feel comfortable, supported, and engaged. My lessons are tailored to each individual learner, focusing on their goals, interests, and preferred learning style. Whether you're looking to improve conversational English, prepare for work, build confidence in public speaking, or develop your overall language skills, I create lessons that are practical, interactive, and enjoyable. Drawing on my background in Drama and Public Speaking, I use a range of activities to help students communicate naturally and confidently.

Most lessons are 50 minutes long, providing plenty of time to practise speaking, develop new skills, and review progress. Lessons can be adapted to suit your schedule and learning needs.

I have over 15 years of teaching experience across Primary, Secondary, Further Education, and Special Educational Needs settings. Throughout my career, I have taught Drama, Singing, and Public Speaking to students of all ages and abilities. I am TEFL certified and now use my extensive teaching experience to help learners improve their English in a supportive and effective environment.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Whether you're learning English for travel, work, study, social situations, or personal development, I can adapt lessons to meet your individual goals. I particularly enjoy working with learners who want to improve their confidence, communication skills, and spoken fluency.

What makes me different? My background in teaching Drama and Public Speaking means I don't just teach English, I help students become confident communicators who can use the language naturally in real-life situations.
