About Cassandra

Welcome! I’m Cassandra, an ESL tutor dedicated to helping students unlock their potential in English language learning. I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in English and I have a TEFL certification, as well as 2 years of experience teaching English and literature to students of various ages and backgrounds. About the lesson

My teaching methodology for ESL is rooted in a communicative approach, prioritizing real-life communication and interaction. I focus on interactive activities that promote speaking and listening skills.

A typical ESL lesson plan includes the following elements:

Warm-up (10 minutes): Engaging activity or discussion to activate prior knowledge and set the context.

Introduction of New Material (15 minutes): Presentation of new vocabulary or grammar through examples and visuals.

Guided Practice (20 minutes): Interactive activities that encourage students to practice the new material in context.

Independent Practice (15 minutes): Individual tasks, such as writing exercises or speaking prompts, to reinforce learning.

Assessment and Feedback (10 minutes): Brief review of key points and informal assessment through observation or quizzes.

Closure (5 minutes): Summary of the lesson and preview of what will be covered next.
