About Ilana
I am a middle school English, Latin, and Social Sciences tutor that has been giving lessons on and off over the past 10 years. I've taught several students at both public and private schools with much success.
I began tutoring when I was in high school and continued throughout college. Although my area of study (criminal justice) is not related, I've continued to tutor in the same subjects throughout my tutoring career. I look forward to working with you! Please contact for resume.

My teaching method is largely based on how each of my students learn, so it is somewhat individual. I do make lesson plans and I try to guide them in ways to allow them to discover the answers by themselves. I like to provide my students with both visual and audio supplements for them to look at on their own time in the form of "fun" ways to learn. These include movies, podcasts, internet memes, and more. I also will provide them with notes and informational "cheat sheets" all made by me.
I can also tutor for the English MCAS if that is a concern.
