About Lucas

Hello! I'm Lucas, a Brazilian English teacher based in Dublin, Ireland. I hold a degree from the Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR) and moved to Ireland to pursue postgraduate studies at Trinity College Dublin.

As someone who has built a life abroad, I understand the challenges of learning, adapting to, and using English in real-world situations. Over the years, I have studied, worked, and communicated in multicultural environments, experiences that have deepened both my language skills and my understanding of the learning journey.

I am passionate about helping students gain confidence and communicate naturally in English. I believe that learning a language should be practical, engaging and tailored to each person's goals. Rather than focusing solely on grammar rules, I help students develop the skills they need to use English effectively in everyday life.

I strive to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace. Whether your goal is to improve your English for work, travel, studies, or personal growth, I am committed to helping you achieve it with lessons that are personalized, encouraging, and focused on real communication.

About the lesson

I believe that learning English should be practical, engaging and tailored to each student's goals. My lessons focus on real communication, helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar in a natural way.

I use a communicative approach, combining real-life conversations, guided practice and personalised feedback. Lessons are interactive and adapted to your interests, whether you need English for work, travel, interviews, moving abroad, or everyday situations.

Most lessons last 60 minutes and include speaking practice from the very beginning. I provide clear explanations, useful expressions, and activities that help students apply English in real-life contexts.

As a Brazilian living in Ireland that also speaks Portuguese, Spanish and Italian, I understand the challenges of learning and using English in an international environment. My experience studying and working abroad allows me to help students overcome common difficulties and gain confidence in communicating effectively.

My lessons are suitable for teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced learners who want to improve their fluency and use English with greater confidence in their personal and professional lives.
