About Alice
I am a student who is passionate about helping others and using my knowledge of languages/linguistics to the best of my ability. I thoroughly enjoy teaching as it is a pleasure to see the growth of students and inspire the next generation. I am a professional who would cater to the students needs and work around them. I have experience working in a secondary school teaching English to GCSE students and I learnt a lot in these few weeks, about different teaching techniques and this is where my passion for teaching grew. Furthermore, I have experience working with children more generally through babysitting and teaching at a dance school

I would be open to tutoring any children from 11+ to Alevel year groups. I have taught English Language in a school for work experience, as well as giving a few private English classes to children about to undertake the 11+. I achieved As in English and am currently on track to graduate with a 2:1/1st class honours at the University of Reading. A typical lesson taught by me would be an hour long depending on the students needs, however more or less time could be requested as it is depended on the student and how much needs to be covered in each session. Additionally, my teaching methods depend on the age group, for example with Alevel students I may use the flipped learning approach of the students reading books and texts at home and then coming to my lessons with these notes already prepared.
