About Emma
Grammar is actually the most creative part of language because it provides the structure that allows thoughts to travel clearly between people. After 8 years of experience teaching 177 students, I find that beginners often overthink the mechanics while losing the voice of their writing.
I combine my BA English Literature background with a patient approach for expats and adult learners. We focus on everything from phonics to complex literature analysis and essay writing. You might find that our conversations flow quite naturally if you want to book a session.

Providing feedback mid-sentence is how I help students catch those small errors before they become permanent habits. I balance 9.0 out of 10.0 in terms of pacing by ensuring we move quickly enough to stay engaged but slowly enough to absorb the nuances of creative writing or exam preparation. My BA English Literature degree informs how I break down difficult texts into manageable components for your conversational practice. We can look at interview preparation or general editing tasks whenever you feel ready to start.
