About Eric
Hi, I'm Eric.
I'm a friendly and patient tutor with a background in Computer Science and Data Science, as well as several years of professional writing experience.
I've always enjoyed helping people understand things that initially seem difficult. As a tutor, I don't believe students should feel embarrassed about asking questions or getting something wrong. Mistakes are often where the real learning begins.
My teaching style is supportive, structured and adapted to the individual student. I take time to understand how a student thinks, where they're struggling and what approach works best for them.
Outside tutoring, I have worked as a professional writer and have written extensively on a wide range of subjects. This has strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and helped me develop a strong understanding of written English.
Whether I'm teaching Maths, English or another subject, my goal is the same: to help students understand what they're doing, become more confident and eventually feel that they can tackle problems independently.

If you struggle with writing, grammar, comprehension or simply don't feel confident with English, I'm here to help.
I've been writing professionally for several years, and I've learnt that good English isn't about using complicated words or memorising endless rules. It's about understanding what you're trying to say and knowing how to communicate it clearly.
My lessons are supportive and practical. We'll focus on the areas your child actually finds difficult, whether that's:
