I have experience tutoring high school level english and history in preparation for the Regents, IB, ACT and SAT exams. I also have personal experience with AP and IB level courses, both college entrance exams, and college level courses up to the 400s level, in all of which I received top marks. What makes English great is that almost any answer can be the right answer as long as your argument is effective. Once you have a decent arsenal of literary and linguistic techniques under your belt and know how to apply them, constructing an argument becomes simple.
I can give you the tools to excel in college entrance exams, AP, IB and Regents courses, and college level courses up to 400 levels, all of which I have personally excelled in myself and in many of which I have direct experience as a tutor. My skills are not limited strictly to literary analysis and I can also help to construct essays or prepare for exams in areas of history, art history, philosophy, anthropology and cinema studies. Moreover, I am happy to assist in bolstering your English skills in your professional life by helping you to craft cover letters and refine your resume.
