My teaching methods typically vary on the students' age and ability. So, before we start, I like to set goals with the student and understand their preferred learning style and strengths and weaknesses.
Having only recently graduated, I understand how being a student can be rather stressful at times, so I am extremely patient with students to make sure they feel confident in their work. While I aim to make my lessons informative and engaging, it is important that students feel they are in a trusting environment and can enjoy the lesson too.
I have recently graduated with an upper 2:1 in English, and have A-Levels and GCSE'S ranging from A*-B grade.
I am also happy to provide extra support material to be completed outside the class, such as worksheets or reading material. I may include PowerPoint presentations in some more interactive-style classes, which I am also happy for the student to access following the class. I can offer proofreading, editing services, help with exam prep, and I am happy to recommend useful textbooks and websites.
The lesson duration will be an hour; however, this can be extended to two hours if requested.
