About Alexandra
I am a writer and a grammar nerd in my early 30s. I love teaching this subject because in a world full of automatic spell-check and formatting, one still needs to have a grasp on the basics to be successful at any type of writing. Most young people are surprised that no matter the field they choose to work in, writing is most likely a big part of their job.
Being able to communicate yourself clearly is an extremely important trait. With my years of experience, I hope to teach people not just grammar and spelling, but how to organize their thoughts in an effective way - whether that is in an essay, an email, or otherwise.

I work with students from elementary school to college to help them use writing to the best of their ability so that they become effective communicators. Lessons can include but are not limited to: spelling tests, grammar quizzes, brainstorming and proofreading essays together, learning correct citations, general writing skills.
I am very patient and friendly - most people find it very easy to open up to me! There are no stupid questions in my "classroom." If someone is not grasping a concept, we will try multiple approaches. My goal is to teach the information to you in a way that will stick.
