About Niamh
I am an undergraduate studying English at university with a great passion for the subject, focusing on Old and Middle English in my studies. I am excited to tutor new students and hope to cultivate a similar passion in you for literature and language. When I have tutored before, I have been praised for my teaching approach, and I will only move on from a subject once it has been thoroughly understood.

I like to start teaching a new student by ascertaining their strengths and weaknesses and tailoring a plan using the following steps:
- Initial assessment
-Identification of gaps in knowledge
- Establishing a block of lesson plans for the duration of tutoring
- Administering regular formative assessments at the end of sessions to track progress and identify points where learning may need to be adapted for the student
- Administering a final summative assessment to demonstrate the student's progress and assess whether further study is advised.
Typically, I tutor for an hour per session, but I am flexible and willing to train for a range of session lengths to suit the client.
I am studying for my Bachelor's in English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. I have achieved high GCSE and A-level results in recent years. I informally tutored classes of English students at A level and received positive feedback from those I taught.
My lessons are for students ranging from KS2 to A level, and I will usually consider students between 6 and 18 years of age.
