About Cara
Whilst at university I tutored GCSE English language and literature in schools, homes and online with The Tutor Trust. Since graduating I have worked in schools and now work as a teaching assistant in a primary school specialising in coordinating the provision of speech and language therapy and also teaching phonics. I also achieved my CELTA qualification and have taught English online with another platform for 6 months. I have now come to Superprof to offer my mixture of services. I achieved 3 A* A levels in English literature, language and sociology and have a first class English degree from The University of Manchester, so I offer a wealth of expertise when it comes to English learning.
I am adaptable and caring which makes me put every effort into every student I've ever taught from a multitude of ages and backgrounds. I have a strong desire to help people learn and am also a very sociable, approachable person who can connect with people of any age, language and culture. I can chat with anyone about anything and am honest, easygoing and love to make people smile. This combined with my strong academic background makes me a great teacher for all things English-related.

Lessons are ideally 1 hour (online), and I most readily offer my skills to GCSE students and non-native speaking adults of any proficiency looking to improve their English skills.
I mainly use published recources, self-made PowerPoint Presentations and authentic texts such as articles and TV/film clips. I am friendly, easygoing and like to make your lessons feel more like a chat than a chore. Message me with any questions and I will let you know if I’m the right teacher for you!
