About Holly

My passion has always been in teaching, particularly with those who may find subjects challenging or uninteresting. I have a real love for English Literature and the English Language and want to share that passion with others. Mainstream schools are often overwhelming, and students may feel that aren’t getting the attention they need in such large classroom environments. I want to be able to provide students with the one-to-one learning they need to feel confident in passing their exams.

About the lesson

I am an employed English Literature and Language teacher at secondary school. I teach children leading up to their GCSE’s and Functional Skills exams, and have previous experience teaching children at KS2.

As English Lead, I am responsible for creation and delivery of the English Literature and English Language curriculum, to the standards set by the UK government. I work primarily with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and I am therefore committed to ensuring learning is engaging and appropriate for individual children’s needs.
