About Moe
I have taught college-level writing for many years at both universities and community colleges, in-person and online. I'm a doctoral candidate in English with research focused on contemporary Latinx/e literature and art. I teach a range of courses, such as: Intro to Composition, Technical Writing, Intro to Fiction, Foundations of English, etc.

I work with students at a range of levels (mostly middle school, high school, and college), as well as learners outside of the institution that want to work on their writing proficiency.
For lessons, I let students take the lead in articulating their strengths and weaknesses while we work on a specific task or assignment. I make sure to listen closely and provide encouragement, while also keeping an eye out for patterns in the student's learning (whether that's related to grammar, sentence composition, or over-articulation in complex arguments). When students arrive without an assignment or task, I typically spend time talking about the writing process through lessons designed for the student's specific needs.
