I am committed to unlocking my students' potential, especially where they may suffer from low self-esteem around certain skills. I want them to come away feeling like they have learned some practical ways of improving their marks - be it a way to restructure their essay or analyse an unseen poem.

I take a holistic approach to my students and want to enable them to understand how to structure essays and exam technique, as well as develop a love for learning which is genuine.
I normally do 1 hour lessons with my students which can be looking over their homework or doing mock exams/ booster sessions to do with exam technique or specific areas they struggle with.
I have a BA (First Class) in Modern History and Politics from the University of Manchester where I achieved a First Class in my History dissertation. I also hold an MA in Broadcast Journalism from City, University of London. I have experience working at 11+ summer courses for Mannan Education and also in 1-1 private tuition. I am a published poet so particularly enjoy teaching literature and poetry.
I can teach 11+, GCSE, and A-Level students.
