About Alice
I studied English at the University of Oxford, having sat my A levels (in History, Spanish and English Lit) at a state comp in the East Midlands. The school I went to did not have access to many of the resources students in the South East / who went to private school would have done. I’m passionate about access and want to make the arts feel as fun, enriching and — crucially — accessible to as many people as possible!
Ultimately, I want to nurture my students’ interests and enthusiasm for literature and / or writing — as I know the school curriculums can be quite limiting.
For context, I specialise in feminist / women’s writing, but have a broad understanding of literature from the year 650 onwards as my undergraduate degree was very comprehensive. I wrote my dissertation on female anger and revenge fantasy and achieved a first in this paper.

I will help you to structure essays and arguments through providing my own tips and tricks as well as practical exercises, helping you to practise writing and essay skills.
