About Liam
I understand how difficult and frustrating essay writing can be. Getting ideas in order and writing them down can feel like a monumental task - and that's assuming the ideas are there in the first place! Trust me, I've been there...
My way of teaching is to think about English practically. That means first working out where your difficulties lie - whether that be coming up with ideas, understanding the text, or structuring your writing.
From there, we will work to get you familiar with the text, come up with essay ideas, have a go at writing some paragraphs together, and then tying everything up at the end.
My goal is for you to come away from our sessions feeling clear-headed, focused, and confident on what you need to do to improve your skills.

Hi, I'm Liam.
I'm an English Literature and Language graduate with a background in education and supporting young people with learning and behavioural needs.
I have a strong academic background in writing and essay development and can help GCSE and A-level students improve their essay writing and gain confidence in expressing their ideas.
My sessions currently focus on:
- understanding the text
-structuring essays clearly
- improving analytical writing
The aims of my session are to get learners thinking and to engage with them in a way that feels supportive so that they come away feeling confident in their ideas and abilities.
I am currently looking to work with GCSE students and A-level students.
