About Tasha
I am currently working towards my BA in English Literature at Durham University (The Times university of the Year 2026 and ranked top 5 in the Complete University Guide) and I have experience in tutoring English GCSE and A-Level.
Having recently completed my A-levels, achieving an A in English Literature and previously attaining 9s (A**) in both English Language and Literature during my GCSEs, I understand the pressure that pupils are under in such exams and how much a tutor can help them to reach their goals.
I view literature as an essential tool for students to develop their critical thinking skills, ability to articulate their thoughts in a convincing manner, empathy and ultimately become more well-rounded people.

I offer a free 1 hour consultation wherein I will ask for a recent piece of work and provide:
- Discussion on the student's strongpoints and areas for improvement
- Essay feedback
- Suggested focus for future improvement
- Suggested material/skills as focus points
- Discussion with the pupil on what they feel they would want/need to focus on
Approach...
My approach to tutoring is to identify and subsequently focus on the pupil's areas for improvement as well as to foster confidence and engagement by recognising their progress and areas of strength. I accomplish this through regular testing such as through exam questions and short quizzes. After each lesson, I send a progress report of the pupil.
