About Ed
Hello! I'm Ed, an English Literature student. I have been a private tutor for six months, primarily teaching the AQA syllabus, and I have mentored students for a number of years, both academically and pastorally.
As well as helping young people improve their results, I have helped students gain an appreciation for the subject and, most importantly, helped build their confidence and ease their nerves, so that they feel ready for their exams!

In my lessons, held over Zoom to ensure that both you and I are safe during the coronavirus crisis, the most important thing is catering to whatever you need, to ensure you get the amazing results you deserve, and hopefully to help you appreciate the subject. I will go at your pace and tailor my tutoring style to your needs. I can explain and discuss aspects of texts, themes and ideas, characters, and difficult subject concepts clearly. I can work through the text with students to find relevant themes and ideas to pick up on. Perhaps most importantly, I can help in the preparation of exam answers, working through questions methodically and working with you to develop a brilliant essay, so that you can do this on their your in an exam. It can be daunting but, don't worry! We will get there.
