As a student myself, I understand the pressures of working under a deadline! I work with dozens of students each semester, each with a unique way of handling their approach to writing. Hello! I am Madelyn, an English major and History minor entering my senior year at Providence College. There, I work as a writing tutor as well as an editor for our school paper. I am passionate about reading and writing at all levels, and would love to help with your essay, creative writing project, literacy skills, or anything else you can think of!
With essays, I typically ask the writer to give me a summary of the assignment (if there is one), and then talk about/read what you have so far. If you have nothing, that is perfectly fine! I love brainstorming and outlining!
With literacy skills, I would work with the student to ensure that they are enjoying and understanding what they are reading. I can also potentially provide help to ESL learners, as I speak Spanish intermediately.
