About Rofiat

Hello! I'm Rofiat, a passionate English and phonics tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and African Languages. I have experience teaching learners in nursery and primary school settings, where I discovered how rewarding it is to help students develop strong language and literacy skills.

My passion for teaching comes from seeing the difference that quality education can make in a person's life. There's nothing more fulfilling than watching a learner go from struggling with reading or grammar to becoming confident in their abilities. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and teaching approach.

As someone who has studied language in depth, I understand that learning English is about more than memorizing rules. It's about developing the confidence to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively. That's why I strive to make my lessons clear, engaging, and practical, helping students understand concepts instead of simply memorizing them.

I enjoy working with learners of different ages and abilities, and I take pride in creating a friendly, patient, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Every student is unique, so I tailor my lessons to suit their individual needs, strengths, and goals.

Whether you're looking to improve your phonics, strengthen your grammar, expand your vocabulary, become a more fluent reader, or gain confidence in speaking and writing English, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals. My aim is not only to help students succeed academically but also to inspire a lifelong love for learning and effective communication.

I look forward to being part of your learning journey and helping you reach your full potential, one lesson at a time.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, and I believe the best lessons are the ones designed around the learner—not the other way around. That's why I take a personalized approach to every class, ensuring that each lesson matches your current level, learning pace, and goals.

Before we begin, I'll take time to understand your strengths, the areas you find challenging, and what you hope to achieve. Whether you're learning phonics, improving your grammar, developing your reading skills, preparing for exams, or becoming a more confident English speaker, your lessons will be tailored specifically to your needs.

My lessons cover a wide range of English language skills, including:

* Phonics and early reading skills
* Reading fluency and comprehension
* Grammar and sentence structure
* Vocabulary building
* Spelling and punctuation
* Pronunciation and clear speech
* Speaking and conversational English
* Listening skills
* Writing, from basic sentences to essays and creative writing
* Exam preparation and homework support

I explain concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so I create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing and growing without fear of being judged.

My lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based. I use practical examples, engaging activities, reading exercises, discussions, and regular feedback to help students understand and remember what they learn. I also adapt my teaching methods whenever necessary, ensuring that every student continues to make steady progress.

More than just helping students pass exams, my goal is to build confidence, improve communication skills, and develop a genuine understanding of the English language. By the end of each lesson, I want my students to leave feeling more capable, motivated, and excited about their progress.

Whether you're a parent looking for a patient tutor for your child, a student aiming for higher grades, or an adult wanting to improve your English for work, study, or everyday communication, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals through lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and focused entirely on you.
