About Nancy
I have taught English at the university/college and community college level for more than a decade. I have helped many students with both academic essays and creative writing as well as writing across the curriculum. In addition, I can assist with the SAT/ACT English Test prep. My interests also include poetry, literature, science fiction, and feminist theory.

My teaching and tutoring methods include establishing a relationship and conferencing on a draft (or drafts) with each individual student. This collaboration allows for improvement on the piece of writing that he or she is working on. Furthermore, I encourage students to pursue their own interests when possible. Also, I can help students with tests--both in terms of content and test-taking strategies.
