About Valerie

My students learn from me because I approach learning by teaching kinesthetically (see it, hear it & do it). As a kinesthetic learner, I not only understand how all students learn but teach it as well. I came from an educator. My mother was a graduate from S. M. U.as was her mother (my namesake). Yet, on my father’s side, I was the first to graduate high school as well as college. I know what it was like to come from a wealthy family (my mother’s side) and poor (my father’s side). I am a Heinz 57: British-American, Irish, Scottish, Lower Crete (Cherokee) Native-American. I am America - a melting pot of cultures.

About the lesson

I design my lessons for kinesthetic learners who learn with all three learning styles: see it, hear it, & learn it.
As a Theatre teacher, students are exposed to all three learning styles as well. Therefore, students learn from me because I teach to all three learning styles.
Needless to say, if you want a student to retain what they learn, show them, tell them, and repeat it several times and several ways to help the students retain what you teach them.
