About Annuja

I teach a reading and writing programme called Jolly Phonics. I have had great success with the children I have tutored, some even reading fluently by the age of 4.5 years old. The children I have taught have successfully passed entrance exams for prestigious private schools. I have been teaching for 9+ years now and can teach in-person (in Cardiff) or online. My lessons are typically for children aged 3 years - 8 years (in person) or 4 - 8 years (online). I use stories, flashcards, workbooks, videos, art/colouring and singing in my classes. I highlight one sound per class for children learning the basics. Each class is 45 minutes long. My certifications include 'Jolly Phonics Programme', 'Jolly Phonics Reading with Phonics' and 'Jolly Grammar Training Workshop'. I have a Master of Arts in Advertising & Marketing, Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Studies. I have worked in the corporate sector in the UK for 12+ years for various multinational companies such as Barclays, TalkTalk Group, Lloyds TSB and more. As such, my approach to tutoring English literacy is professional, friendly and engaging. I love interacting with children and seeing them progress in their reading and writing skills gives me great joy. Do contact me to enquire about lessons for your child.

Thank you Bilal for reaching out to me. It was lovely to meet you and your family the other day. I’m glad I was able to assess your daughter and come up with a plan to get her to fluency. She was a pleasure to teach!

Annuja is one of the most wonderful teachers our family has come across. She was the phonics tutor to my 3 girls in Kuala Lumpur and my kids were devastated when she relocated. Her classes were always well prepped and fun. Couldn’t recommend her more highly for anyone seeking a tutor.

Annuja tutored my daughter to read using Jolly Phonics. She is amazing with kids and all her students, including my daughter, love her. She is patient, and suits her teaching approach to her students. I would recommend her to any one and we were very sad when she moved away. My daughter still thinks she’s the best teacher she ever had!

Annuja helped teach both my sons to read. She makes lessons fun and interesting and they genuinely looked forward to seeing her each week.

Both of my sons have different learning styles and Annuja was able to design her lessons with each child with this in mind.

Annuja is both patient and effective.
